A rare snowy whale was spotted by researchers recently , making waves off the east coast of Russia .

The creature passed right by the scientists ' boat .

White Orcinus orca are a rare find . But Hoyt told The Dodo that this is n’t the only one of its form .
“ We have fancy one female we call Mama Tanya ; a calf ; Iceberg the matured male person ; and now this juvenile person , ” he said . “ Four white orcas in all over the past seven to eight year . ”
It ’s not yet confirmed by scientist , but some theorize that their bloodless colouring could be due to albinism , a congenital disorderliness marked by the absence of pigment in the skin . Another notable white marine mammal was spotted in the beginning this twelvemonth during the brutal dolphin hunts in Taiji , Japan . nickname “ Angel ” by militant , she was taken captive and still populate in a tank at the Taiji Whale Museum .
Researchers continue to pursue these “ white-hot whales ” — just like Captain Ahab did in hunt of Moby Dick . But now , all the scientists want is data about these elusive animals .
