Whilechatting withTeen Vogue,the actress and singer recognized the “TiK ToK” singer, 36, as being a major figure in her life as a child.
“She was my everything growing up,” said Rapp, 23. “She’s just so… not ‘wild’ in the sense that she’s wild… she was so wild and free-spirited and hot, and seemed sure of herself, but was also really vulnerable and outspoken. And also was just the sickest.”

When Kesha got wind of Rapps' kind words, she shared a portion of the interview in apost on X, formally known as Twitter, and added in the caption, “🫶 @reneerapp.”
Like Kesha, Rapp has been focusing on her music career sincedeparting her series regular roleonThe Sex Lives of College Girls.
“College girls moved me out to LA and introduced me to some of my favorite people. 2 and a half years later – it’s given me y’all and this community,” she shared in asocial media postin July. “Thank uMindy [Kaling], Justin [Noble] and everyone at Max for believing in me.”
Although Rapp maintains a recurring role in the hit HBO Max series, this year, she’s also worked on Paramount’supcomingMean GirlsThe Musicalmovieand released her debut albumSnow Angelin August.
While speaking about the music release with PEOPLE, she opened up about the vulnerability she put into the album.

“All the songs I write obviously are about things that I’ve been through personally, but I think that any relationship I’ve ever had in my life is all culminated into one on this project and in these songs,” she said. “I love relationships. I love so hard. I am very protective of the people that I love. I’m very protective of myself, and all of these situations were taken from relationships that I had, whether they be good or bad.”
Rapp iscurrently on the roadpromoting her new music through the “Snow Hard Feelings Tour.”
