Rebel Wilsonis celebrating her 44th birthday!
The Australian actress shared an Instagram post Friday to wish herself a happy birthday and took a moment to reflect on her life over the past year.
“Happy 44th birthday to me!” she wrote in the caption, alongside a photo of herself sticking her tongue out and throwing up some peace signs. “I got the best present ever - a healthy child, ahealthy relationshipand a career that keeps challenging me (directing a new film, writing a book, producing AND acting) and so many amazing friends and fans who inspire me to keep going!”
“Love you all,” she finished, adding an “X” symbol for a kiss at the end of the post.
ThePitch Perfectstar has been candid over the past year about her health and weight loss journey. In a January Instagram post, she revealed that she had gained 30 lbs. amid her busy work schedule, despite losing over 80 lbs. since 2020.
“Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, I’ve gained 14kg’s (30 pounds)! It makes me feel bad about myself…it shouldn’t…but it does,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself wearing a black swimsuit and sunglasses in a hot tub. “I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle. Anyone else going through the same thing?”
Wilson has also been candid about how her weight loss goals originally stemmed fromher desire to become a mom, tellingPEOPLEin 2022 that when she first visited a fertility doctor in 2019, he told her to lose weight.
“He looked me up and down and said, ‘You’d do much better if you were healthier,’” Wilson said at the time. “I was taken aback. I thought, ‘Oh God, this guy’s so rude.’ He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It’s almost like I didn’t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child’s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.”
After meeting through herThe Almond and The SeahorsecostarCharlotte Gainsbourgin 2022, Agruma and Wilson went public with their romance in June of that year. Just before going public, a friend toldPEOPLE, “Rebel’s in an amazing place and I’ve never seen her happier.”
