CMC Hugh Jeter ( Charles Parnell ): The Command Master Chief believes in the Captain , and refuses to lease one of his men go AWOL with the XO . He go so far as to endanger to pullulate a straw hat who set about to give the ship without permission . And when the police captain gives his cock-a-hoop inspirational speech , Jeter asks , “ license to salute the sea captain ? ” Permission is concede .

Lt . Alisha Granderson ( Christina Elmore ): She ’s the one who co - steer the ship , according to Deadline . She ’s distressed about her do it ones back home , as everything seems to be come aside .
Lt . Jackie Makena ( Michaela McManus ): She runs the CIC and is in guardianship of missile deployment , and she helps to pip down some Russians who come attacking at a bad time . When her boyfriend Danny goes off with the XO , she gives him her sidearm , even though she disapprove of his decisiveness .
Rachel Scott ( nameless ): She ’s a “ paleomicrobiologist ” who travels aboard the Nathan James to the distant and icy Barents ocean , to do some mysterious experiments . And it sounds as though she ’s in charge of essay to come up up with a vaccinum for the mysterious pandemic that ’s killing everybody . At one point Rachel explains that 14 months ago , there was an outbreak of a “ computer virus of unknown origin ” outside Dar Es Salaam , Tanzania , which stamp out everyone . Six weeks later , it struck rural Bangladesh . When Scott saw how quickly the virus was mutate , she realized they had to track down the source — in the Arctic . Where the computer virus “ came from deep in the permafrost , where it lay dormant for hundreds of thousands of years . ” Until worldwide warming . And now the raspberry are carrying it and unfold it to the human population . It ’s spread like nothing anybody ’s ever take care — and Dr. Scott and her supporter are the only unity who can stop it .
