We ’ve all stolen things from work — pencils , penitentiary , mayhap a notebook — but this Foxconn employee went a little too far . According toAsiaOne , a former senior manager at the world ’s turgid electronics maker and assembler was commove with stealing and selling 5,700 iPhones for a value of about $ 1.56 million .
The Formosan coach , who is identify by his surname Tsai , run at Foxconn in the testing section . He instructed eight employees at the manufactory located in Shenzhen to smuggle one thousand of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S handset , fit in to the prosecutor .
The phones taken by the thieves were made specifically for examination — not sale — and were intended to be trash once Foxconn was done running examination on them . Of course , a major operation like Foxconn has a system to account for their test phones and the condemnable operation was discovered after an internal audit . Sad day for the stealer .

Ringleader Tsai has been charge with breach of confidence and will serve a maximum of 10 geezerhood in jail if see guilty . It ’s a unconscionable price to compensate , especially for a bunch of outdated phones . Moral of the story : Do n’t steal million from the companionship you work for .
