They say you ca n’t label a book by its covering fire , but Holy Scripture are n’t music . Every great record album has an awesome concealment . So forthis week ’s Shooting Challenge , we postulate you to revivify a far-famed album cover .

Rock A Little
I knew I had kept my ’ 80 ’s garb for a ground and when I saw this week ’s challenge , I knew what I had to do . With my husband ’s Brobdingnagian help , we came very very close to reproducing Stevie Nick ’s album coverRock A Little . I think the hardest part for me was keep my blazon in position for what seemed like hours until we got the veracious crack . maintain the dame undefended like that was very dodgy too but Kevin had the neat approximation of position a garden crotch and shovel up my skirt . Once we get the final shaft , then all I had to do was over - expose the picture and clean it up to make the tools disappear . We decide to give the record album a Christmas bend with the Christmas ornament . Gingin Gini was my nickname back in the ’ 80 ’s as well so this really was a blast from the past tense for me !

Golden Age of Wireless
I am a huge electronic music devotee as well as a Thomas Dolby fan . A close supporter of mine hasGolden Age of Wirelesson vinyl group which became my go to album my senior class of college . I assume this photo with a 550D and my Carl Zeiss Jena 58 F/2 lens . I cerebrate that the back of my microkorg tantrum very well with the inner book binding ’s industrial . I only wish I shot with some 80 ’s back hair clear !

I had first decide to do either Pearl Jam ’s “ Avocado ” or Velvet Underground & Nico ’s “ Andy Warhol ” covers , just to realize ( a little too deep ) that I blank out to buy the fruit I needed for those photos ( avocado / banana severally ) . So I came up with this ( unearthly ) idea at the very last minute . If undecipherable : the original record album cover is ( supposed to be ) John Lennon’sImagine . Imagine … a complete breakfast . Canon T2i , 21 mm , f/4.5 , ISO 3200 .

The Polka Stones Greatest Hits
This is 4 layers ( no wordplay intended ) . The bar , tire , crust and clock were shot together . The Sn canister was dissipate close up – it ’s only about 1 inch in diam . The white home is a saucer . The platter ( 6 Fat Dutchmen – Polka ’s Greatest Hits ) [ edit note : that ’s not the emulated album ] and skewer were shot together . I used both GIMP and Photoshop to stack them together , applied the gradient scope and added randomness . All shot on a D7000 with a 50 mm crystalline lens , do n’t call in all the various shutter speed and f stoppage .
Interesting side preeminence – the track record , toy figurines and tire were all acquire at the same strip mall in conterminous stores – second hired hand book memory board , 2nd hand miniature store and ironware shop all in a row . After I come back the tire to the hardware store , the most expensive part of the projection will be the $ 1.75 can of ice .
