You have your ticket to NYCC . You have your cosplay carefully packed and ready to be transported . And you ’ve blocked off your Thursday eventide . You ’re almost ready to attend io9 and Kotaku ’s Cosplay Ball , present by Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 , happening this Thursday — you just need to read this first .
If you ’re attend the New York Comic - Con and will be at the Javits Center after the show ends on Thursday , October 6 , there will be two bus ( located at 655 W thirty-fourth St ) to take attendant instantly to the party — look for the bozo nurse the sign that says “ Cosplay Bus . ” The busses will be first - come , first - serve , so we suggest describe up too soon . At 6:30 necropsy , they ’ll take partygoers to Studio@17 ( located at 2 West 17th Street ) .
Once the Cosplay Ball begins at 7:00 pm , besides food , drinks , dancing , andeverything else we ’ve tell you about , we ’re also happy to foretell there ’ll be a functioning by the Fantastic Plastics and the probability to become an action figure , thanks to 3-D scanning by Shapeways !
One Final Note : Remember , you must be 21 or old , and have a valid I.D. , to get in the Cosplay Ball . You must also be wearing cosplay … however , we know that there are people who will want to either remove their costume for part of the political party or are coming with someone in costume . This is an inclusive event and we ’ll do our best to accommodate everyone .
