Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson,PEOPLE’s 2016 Sexiest Man Alive, claimed on Friday that his good looks used to confuse his peers.
“Nice trip down memory lane,” Johnson said of the video on Friday. “And yes, very true story when I moved from Hawaii to Nashville, I was already 6’4 225lbs with a pornstache at 15yrs old — and the students in my new high school thought I was an undercover cop.”
“All the lovely ladies stayed far away from me,” he added, next to a crying emoji.
Johnson has been open about his early years before. In 2015, he shared a high school photo to Instagram in an epic Throwback Thursday post.
“TBT By the time I was 16 yrs old, I had already enrolled in four high schools across the country due to being evicted and lil’ trouble with the law,” he wrote. “McKinley HS (Honolulu, HI), Glencliff HS (Nashville, TN), McGavock HS (Nashville, TN), Freedom HS (Bethlehem, PA). I was also 6’4 225lbs, rockin’ a dead caterpillar on my lip (aka the porn ‘stache) and all the kids in every high school thought I was an undercover cop cause I looked like a mutated, yet handsome SOB of a man child.”
“Yup, one of the many reasons why I’m a grateful man for the life I have today and also grateful I straight up kicked puberty’s a— early in life,” he continued.

Johnson no longer has to worry about getting a date: Today, the actor is with girlfriendLauren Hashian, 34. The couple shares two daughters: Jasmine Lia, 3, andTiana Gia, 10 months. Johnson also shares his 17-year-old daughterSimone Garcia Johnsonwith his ex Dany Garcia, 50.
OnValentine’s Day, Johnson made a special trip to see Simone. “Flew from LA to Miami so I could spend anawesome afternoon and lovely dinnerwith my #1 Valentine @simonegjohnson,” he captioned a photo of himself on a luxurious plane.
Johnson went on to share that although the trip meant he got very “little sleep,” it was “so well worth our invaluable and fun father/daughter time.”
“SO PROUD of her and that apple sure didn’t fall far from this tree,” he added. “Dropped her off, gave her a massive bear hug and back on the bird to get to work.”
