Yesterday , Elon Musk warned us that his marvellous vision to send human to Mars would n’t be without danger — in fact , he tell , “ The chance of death is quite eminent on the first mission . ” Now , with what can only be described as consummate timing ( or great merchandising ) , two Dutch companies are claiming they ’ve created a hearse out of a Tesla Model S.
The two company areRemetzCar , which makes opulence car limousines , andVan der Lans & Busscher BV , a funeral transportation company . They say the hearse really does exist , and will be hang up out this week at the2016 Funeral Exhibitionin the Netherlands .
Theyalso saythat it ’s the worldly concern ’s first all - electric funeral car — which , if rightful , means it will make a sweet , sweet net drive for the Bill Gates wannabe in your life .

Electrekhas some theorieson how the hearse might have been put together :
From the picture , it looks the wheelbase was significantly stretched and the top half of the Model S was substitute from the B - column to create an all - Methedrine rear where the casket would be stored for travel .
RemetzCar take to have foreshorten the vehicle in one-half after having removed the battery pack . Then , they extend the base by 80 cm ( 31.5 column inch ) before correspond the battery pack back into the platform .

In a translated announcement on its website , Van der Lands & Busscher BVsaysthe hearse is a “ modern funeral carriage for a stylish , environmentally conscious and soundless farewell . ” Creepy , but sure !
Of course , there ’s a chance this is all a outre promotional material stunt , but Van der Lands & Busscher BV does indeedhave a spotat the Funeral Exhibition , and RemetzCardoes appearto be a legitimate player in the car - stretching business . To be reliable , I ’m not sure which option I ’m hop for more .
