For newlywedDonnie Wahlberg, life at home with wifeJenny McCarthyis certainly sweet.
“Jenny and I have hot chocolate together every night,” Wahlberg told PEOPLE at theSay Hello with Keurig 2.0pop-up in New York City on Wednesday. “I know a cup of hot chocolate doesn’t sound glamorous but it’s those quiet moments with us as a family that are my favorite. We have our own things during the day, but this is our time to cuddle up and catch up on our days.”
Professionally, life for the couple has been “non-stop” since theygot marriedover Labor Day weekend: Wahlberg continues tostar on CBS’sBlue Bloods, produce and star in A&E’sWahlburgersand perform with theNew Kids on the Block, while McCarthy hosts her new SiriusXM radio showDirty, Sexy, Funny.
“I know it may seem like we’re extroverts because we spend so much time in front of the camera and we’ll talk about openly about our lives, but Jenny and I are real homebodies,” he says. “We’re not really party people. If we had our way, we would just lay in bed all day watchingNaked & Afraid.”
Despite his domestic inclinations, you’re probably not going to find Wahlberg cooking up a multi-course meal in the kitchen anytime soon.

“Jenny does most of the cooking at home and she’s really good at it. And that’s a good thing because I’m not much help in the kitchen. If you want some toast with butter, I’m your guy,” says Wahlberg, who is partnering with Keurig to offer winners a chance to meet him for a coffee date in N.Y.C.
Of course, even homebodies need to escape sometimes: So a long-awaited honeymoon is up next for the newlyweds, someplace “not cold,” hints Wahlberg. “We’re looking forward to getting away, relaxing and spending some uninterrupted time together … with hot chocolates every night.”
