Hello ,
I was shooting an engagement company this weekend which was on the water in CT . Behind my subjects I see a beautiful egret coming in for a water landing . The colouration of his beak against the water system is just arresting and I cogitate it would be a complementary image for this week ’s shooting challenge . There were no exceptional preferences I just zoomed and shot . I had no idea the colors would be so vibrant !
thank you !

What better spook of Orange River than that of the yield that bares the name ? After carefully ring ( and not - so - carefully greedy ) an Orange River , it was off to find a dainty complementary blue at the craft store . I tried quite a few different orientation , but I thought the blue came through the spacing in the orange the best in this one .

I enjoy a mountain playing weewee - polo , so when i see this week ’s picture challenge , i immediately intend of the complementary color between the bright orange ball and the blue colour of the puddle ’s water . Just toss the orb in the water , and there we go !

I was actually recollect about this challenge when I woke up this morning at my champion ’s position , and I find that he and his wife had some loofahs hang in the shower . com·ple·men·ta·ry adj ˌkäm - plə-ˈmen - t(ə-)rē : 1 . relating to or name one of a pair of contrasting colors that produce a neutral color when combined in suitable ratio . 2 . reciprocally render each other ’s lack 3 . me and my girlfriend .
Combine utter , polar dissonance on everything , ever , even on the use of a digital camera and the fact that I am the kindest soul on earth and she is a violent psychopath and what you get is a extremely contrasting ( complementing ) picture . My girlfriend snatched my Olympus E-420 from my hands while I was render to snap some random Thomas Kid playing with colour paper planes , and took a photo of herself to see her Modern ( violet+blonde ) fuzz . She blank out to score out the picture , so it ended up in gimp , getting tweak and filtered . I showed the paradigm to her next day and she hated it . I eff it . She broke my photographic camera ( but not my heart ) . So it is up to you . Do we complement or delete each other ?

I ’m seek to learn the indium and outs of this impressive tv camera so I can employ it as part of my power train for a wedding next Saturday . Once I saw the Shooting Challenge radical , I looked in our backyard . I notice our sunflowers were taking on this nice orange shade as the sunny atmospheric condition winds down . With the X100 ’s ND filter and hi - speed flashing sync capabilities , I reckon this would be a outstanding prospect to try out with the photographic camera .
I hope you enjoy the photograph !

I am just getting into picture taking and this is my first launching into the shooting challenge . I was just kind of playing around in the front thousand with my tv camera trying to take different shots of complimentary colors . However my Puggle Molly would n’t let me get a clear shot of the orchard apple tree on the grass , she likes all matter that are edible and some affair that are not . anyhow , I feel this turn out to be a kinda cunning picture .

Hello ! This is my first time come in a Shooting Challenge , so I hope I did well !
The camera I used was a Nikon D5100 with 18 - 55 millimetre lens . This picture is of the fight ring I purchase for my bride-to-be , and fellow commentor , ThLiLMermaid . She is n’t of the traditional mentality , so no big diamond for her . Instead , she wanted a gracious and rarified Lightning Ridge Black Opal , for its colorfulness . So , I used the selective vividness event on the D5100 , had her model it , and here we are ! Kind of look like a ring reflect space . Hope you love !

This challenge was an interesting because there were so many options . So since I had nothing to do today I determine I was go to do wash and then step outside and take my camera with me . So I open up up the strong-armer of the washing machine during the rinse cycle and I immediately acknowledge that a red and light-green shirt of mine are both next to each other as if they wanted me to take a characterization so I pull out my T2i and take a couple shot .

I prepare up the tripod about a foot and a one-half from the feeder which is frequented by my little visitors . I chose an F/36 aperture mainly for the depth of playing field but also the blacked out screen background effect . Then it was just a matter of waiting . I opine the dame was startled by the sound of the crystalline lens concentre , they always seemed to be in the procedure of leaving though they were stationary when I triggered the remote .

I get laid I want to do something with oil and water for this challenge but was hold a hard time capturing anything I wish . My boyfriend had the estimate of commix some gel solid food colour with water system in a guessing chalk and pointing an light-emitting diode torch up from beneath the gibe glass . With a minuscule tweaking in Lightroom I consider we ended up with a pretty cool result !

I ’ve been wanting to undertake a shooting challenge ever since I bought a DSLR , but I either had never had time or did n’t have any great ideas for unique photos . When I saw the complimentary colour gainsay , I thought it was something I could come with a nice shot for , so I gave it a endeavor . First , I turn over what would make a nice background , and realized that weed make a really prissy background if I could encounter an interesting red target to congratulate it . Then , while sitting at my kitchen table , I see an apple , and settle to give it a try , and this was the consequence . I made a few adjustments in Adobe Lightroom with photograph , temperature , and saturation . Shot with a Canon T3i with a Tamron 28 - 75 mm lens @ 75 mm , f/2.8 , 1/1000 shutter , and 100 ISO .

Ever since I read about the challenge , I ’d been brainstorm myself for this theme . plump through all the stuff I had with me , I realise majority of it was black .
So I stay fresh roaming around the house , look for madly for thing with complemental color . The hunt ended in the kitchen where I found mail boat of M&M lying in the electric refrigerator . read them out , I commence searching for thing to fix them up on . I observe 2 miniature vodka bottles , and decided to rest 2 complementing M&Ms on each bottle ’s mouth . But the oral fissure was too fully grown for them .
So , I keep searching for other thing to take a breather the M&M , and I stumbled upon the Rubik ’s Cube and noticed the side by side faces were complement colors . And so , ended the lookup for the subject .
conceive about the perfect way to setup , I realized keep on the white end in front would give a nice sentiment of the Bolshevik and fleeceable . I place a black-market t - shirt behind it , to complement the White person of the front oddment . And voila , I had the perfect setup !
Only thing left now was the lights . I turned of all the lights in the way , and experiment with an LED light , a torch visible light and the instant . Finally , decided upon this image captured using the camera ’s flash , solely upon the keenness of the colouring material .
This was beguile using Canon 1100D , non - IS lens .
Exposure of 1/60sec at an ISO of 800 , with focal length of 30 millimeter , and the camera ’s constitutional flash .

I was inspired by the “ ruddy grape on yellow tablecloth ” comment but decided to zest matter up a bit . Got a red bath carpeting , put it on a glossy tabular array control surface , and up - terminate a drear - green methamphetamine hydrochloride bowl on top of it . I used a Nikon D5000 with a Sigma 18 - 200 millimeter lens . My kinsfolk and I are on a RV trip across the southwest . This scene was taken at a place called Antelope Canyon . It is located near Page Arizona on a Navajo arriere pensee . When i see you guy rope were doing the coloration photograph contest I was n’t indisputable if i was going to be able to get that type of shot . I really got lucky here . The way the light react to the walls is nothing short of magic . The shot was taken look vertically up the canyon . The reflection of the light makes the bright side reckon drear and the outer canon tone orange . Since i am on vacation i have no editing software so the picture is exactly how i took it with no change . What a beautiful location !

This image is of a music ring nominate the Half Breed Lovers and it was taken at a local euphony locale . The bunch was very much into the performance and they were jolly up for them . I am also an avid fan of their music and performances so I am familiar with their songs . “ m&m Galaxy ”
Do n’t bang why they call them m&m ’s , There seemed to be a awful amount of W ’s , 3 ’s and “ fancy E ’s ” . I started by meticulously sorting out all the colours from about 6 pounds of m&m ’s . Then I drew 2 thin lines that corkscrew into each other . I flipped the M&M ’s upside down cause I think the “ m ” would be unhinge . Then I started my pattern . I found myself wipe out the “ unorthodox ” or “ break off ” ones , cause it had to be unadulterated . metre down and delicious , but it payed off .

I spent the morning in the foothills shooting an area known as “ Rock Garden . ” On the rise out I spied this very cool tilt organization that had just begun to be alight up by the sunrise . I read of this week ’s photograph challenge while process my images later that day . a saturation pinch to the already present golden orange tree and sky blue was all that was needed .

I ’ve been transport the link to your shooting challenge to my whole kinfolk for quite a while now , and when I waken up this morning look at the wines on our neighbour wall I decided to have a go myself . cerise and green are evidently complementary colors and they kinda proof that nobody has been fooling around with the date in the EXIF file 😉 It ’s been rain the entire night , so there is some added luminescence to the colors . Unfortunately it also means that , due to no sunlight , I had to pick off the brightness levels a spot via aperture , but on request I am felicitous to provide you with the original data file .
The setup was a Canon EOS 50D and a Canon 70 - 200 mm f/4.0 L USM lens on a tripod ; Manual programme with the scene : ISO 100 , f/4 , 1/30 , 140 mm and two second gear shutter delay so I did n’t mess up up the sharpness
I go for you ’ll care it .

At least once a workweek I go scorpion hunting with my black light in my back grand . After reading about this contest the and see how much the Scorpio really down out when the black light is shining on them I could n’t pass up the opportunity . scorpion are great to photograph because they basically sit in one stead for hours waiting for other bugs to walk near them and the fateful light does not frighten off them off . This give up me to seek many dissimilar exposure times and countenance me to get the camera manually focused in the darkness .
Camera was Canon 60D with Canon EF - S 18 - 200 – 1 second photo at ISO200 .

When I pick up this challenge i was in my residence hall room looking out onto the
local church … I had noticed that the varnished methamphetamine in this church building was
very colorful . The funny part was sample to get gratuitous colors ,
because in all 8 of the ceiling to floor distance window there were
very circumscribed costless gloss “ panels” … But i got this one after
some searching .

Ok I adjudicate to be well cook with more time for the contest entry this metre . I was torn on discipline issue : do I dissipate my favorite SEC squad ’s ball chapiter ( warfare EAGLE ! ) or do I go a less controversial route ?
What ? I was thinking about the licensing look of the cap and how I could n’t buck it for this competition not the squad … * cough * Yeah … that sound good .
Annnnnyway , I had to make the ever present Wal - Mart run for some groceries and thought it would be a keen estimation to fulfil the needs of this challenge at the same time . I trot off to the gift division and found some naughty wrapper newspaper . Not just any old blue ; REAAAAAALY BLUE . As in get a talent wrapped in this and wonder what you did to make the giver mad . I finished up the bulk of my shopping and on the way to the registers trolled through the slight pickings they had for flower . I was like :/ handsome time . Then I spotted these very dainty orange flowers in the water . do it to say I bought them else I ’d give the store empty handed , except for the stuff that somehow fill up my cart up along the style . Geez , I think it was only a few items I need .
When I got home I put up the market and ready to frivol away the pic , place up a makeshift backdrop using the swathe composition and setting the bloom in a vase . Boom ! I shoot aside but something was missing . What I was await at on my LCD was just too slow . Water to the rescue ! After a few spritzes from a Mr … viola ! meekness unadulterated .
