The Legendary and Warner Bros. Dune franchisehas found its Emperor Shaddam . Deadline reportsthat Christopher Walken has been cast in Denis Villeneuve ’s highly anticipated subsequence for the sci - fi serial .
Walken link latterly announced cast member Florence Pugh , who ’ll dally the Emperor ’s daughter , Princess Irulan , and Austin Butler , who nabbed the villain role of Feyd - Rautha of House Harkonnen . The return ensemble from last class ’s Dune : Part One include Timothée Chalamet , Rebecca Ferguson , Zendaya , and Josh Brolin .
Villeneuve isreturning to helmthe prolongation of his adaption of the first book in Frank Herbert ’s Dune series . It ’s the 2nd part of the big huge movie that I ’m trying to do . So the sooner the better . ”
Dune : Part 2 is set for liberation October 20 , 2023 .
