Ariana Grandeis changing her “Positions” on singles with this album release.
As the pop superstar, 30, is getting ready to drop herupcoming, new albumEternal Sunshine, she shared an update for fans on Monday to manage their expectations about this release cycle.
While the Grammy winner typically releases a series of songs before her albums come out, she revealed in a message posted to herInstagram Storythat this time around she won’t be dropping any more advanced singles before the LP is out in full on March 8.
“my loves,” the hitmaker’s note began, “we are little over a month away fromEternal Sunshineand i don’t think it’s possible to articulate how grateful i am for your love, support and excitement!”

“i wanted to say… as hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you all asap, i would really love for you to experience the album in full this time,” Grande shared.
The “thank u next” artist clarified that she’ll “of course” drop individual tracks as singles after the record is out, but explained that she didn’t want to release any besides “Yes, And?,” which dropped in January. She wrote, “… waiting a little longer for you to be able to listen fully through first really is my ideal way for you all to experience this body of work.”
“thank you for your trust in my vision and plan!” theSweetenerartist continued. “you have waited so long for new music from me and i am so grateful for your patience! I look forward to savoring every single of this new era with you all and i sincerely cannot wait for it to be yours!”
She concluded, “It’s going to be (and already is) so special. I am so excited for all that is to come. More than ever.”
Grande also teased that, in lieu of advanced songs, she has “a little surprise or two” coming for fans ahead ofEternal Sunshine’s early March release.

The single arrived along with itsmusic video, a stylish dance video thatheavily pulls inspirationfromPaula Abdul’s classic 1989 visual for “Cold Hearted.”
Shortly after “Yes, And?” came out, Grande confirmed that her forthcoming album and the follow-up to 2020’spositions, which she collaborated on with renowned pop producerMax Martin, was on the way. In mid-January, she confirmed the project’s March 8 release date and announced its title with a poston Instagramthat included the album artwork featuring a blurred, close-up shot of her red-lipped face.
In another tease of the upcoming record posted toInstagram, the “7 Rings” singershared her perspective on the effort, explaining that she sees some of the tracks as “really vulnerable.”
The pop star shared a throwback video seemingly featuring footage from sometime last year of her previewing then-unreleased tracks to members of her record label, Republic Records.
“I’m nervous! I wanted to share with you that this is kind of a concept album because it’s all different heightened pieces of the same story of the same experience,” the star of the upcomingWickedfilm said in the clip. “I’m, like, weirdly emotional.”
She told her team that the album finds her “playing the part that people kind of expect me to be sometimes, and having fun with that.
“And the rest of it’s all kind of really vulnerable,” the musician added.
